![]() ![]() Don’t use those vouchers on full-priced products. Plugin Alliance is great with giving $25 vouchers to anyone on their list every month. They all have constant sales and promotions and occasionally free products. ![]() First, get on the email list for Plugin Alliance, Softube, Acoustica Audio and any other company that interests you. You will save money over time and have a far better tool kit. Many companies will even give you new versions of plugins for free forever. That is almost every company except for Waves. Ultimately, I now only work with companies that provide free performance and compatibility updates. Waves has nothing even close to what they offer. You can get full suites of unique tools from that company for $50 to $100 via constant sales. I also found very unique companies, like Acoustica Audio, that provide a sound and vibe that feels like my old analog days. More than anything, I frequently pick up excellent and modern plugins from Plugin Alliance and similar companies for $10 - $50 via sales and vouchers. Stock plugins these days have become very good and are often as good or better option than Waves. In addition, Waves is definitely not the top of the line in terms of quality, like they were back when I started (a few decades ago). I found the amount of money I would invest in Waves each time I had to pay for the update plan would more than cover some high-level and highly usable tools. What pushed me into taking the leap away from Waves was the realization that the plugin market was so saturated with amazing tools, many much better than Waves, for cheap prices with constant insane discounts/sales or even absolutely free. Initially, I hated the idea of losing out on all the money I had invested in Waves plugins and was afraid of how much money and time it would take to find suitable replacements. I opted to step away from Waves and I am very happy I did. I loved waves for many years and was in a similar position as you a few years ago. ![]() ![]()
